From start to finish, the movie kept me on the edge of my seat with its brutal violence and intense gore.
The Storyline
The storyline of Leatherface is quite simple but effective. The movie follows four inmates who escape from a mental institution and kidnap a young nurse named Lizzy. Along their journey, they encounter Sheriff Hartman, who has a personal vendetta against the Sawyer family due to his daughter’s death many years ago. As they travel through Texas, we get glimpses into Jedidiah’s past and see how he became Leatherface.

The cast of Leatherface did an excellent job in bringing their characters to life. Sam Strike played Jedidiah Sawyer/Leatherface brilliantly, portraying his character as both terrifying and sympathetic.
Lili Taylor, who played Verna Sawyer, Jedidiah’s mother, was outstanding. She was able to evoke both fear and empathy in her character. Stephen Dorff was also impressive in his role as Sheriff Hartman, adding depth to the story by portraying a conflicted and flawed character.
