My Thoughts on the Movie “Tag”

The Storyline of “Tag”
“Tag” is based on a true story about a group of childhood friends who have been playing the same game of tag for 30 years. Every May, for one month, they go all out to try and tag each other. This year, however, Jerry (played by Jeremy Renner), who has never been tagged in all these years, announced that he will be retiring from the game after this season. The rest of the group sees this as their last chance to tag Jerry and end his undefeated streak.
The News Surrounding “Tag”
Leading up to the release of “Tag”, there were reports that some people were offended by the fact that it’s based on a true story involving grown men playing a children’s game. However, the filmmakers stood by their decision to make this movie and said that it was all in good fun.
The Plot and Characters of “Tag”
The plot of “Tag” may seem simple on the surface, but it’s the characters that really make this movie shine. Each member of the group has their own unique personality and quirks, which makes them all stand out. There’s Hoagie (Ed Helms), who is the mastermind behind most of the group’s stunts. There’s Bob (Jon Hamm), who is a successful businessman but still loves to play tag. There’s Chilli (Jake Johnson), who is the slacker of the group but still manages to be hilarious. And then there’s Sable (Hannibal Buress), who is always questioning why they’re still playing this game.
But it’s Jerry, played by Jeremy Renner, who steals the show. He’s like a superhero in this movie, constantly dodging and outsmarting his friends in order to remain untagged.
